Agriturismo with e-bikes

Keen to do some cycling on your holiday? You’re not the only one. You just see so much more on a bike. You are in the open air, and you get plenty of exercise. In Italy, cycling can be a bit demanding, if you happen to be in a hilly or mountainous region. The solution? An e-bike. Specially for you, I – Margot – have selected my most attractive agriturismos with e-bikes for rent.

We are sorry!

Unfortunately we have no agriturismo available that meets your criteria.

You might have better luck if you change your search criteria, for example:

  • Select another region
  • Select other dates
  • Select a period from Saturday to Saturday
  • Remove some facilities

Exploring the Italian countryside by e-bike

A bicycle takes you to places that cannot be reached by car. Up narrow winding streets and alleys in villages or cities. Along secluded paths beside the sea, or all around a shimmering lake. Or along winding lanes through gorgeous countryside or up into the mountains. But hilly Italy can prove to be a bit too much for longer journeys on an ordinary bike. So, you end up dropping the plan and using your car again. Hiking is lovely too, but if you want to explore more in less time, an e-bike is ideal. It gives you all the benefits of being out in the open air.

Electric mountain bikes

You can bring your own e-bike, of course. But agriturismos increasingly have their own e-bikes to rent to their guests. It's convenient, as you can be sure that these e-bikes are suitable for the region, and for some terrains, electric mountain bikes are simply the most suitable. Some agriturismos rent out their own bikes. Others have linked up with a nearby rental company. Your bike is usually already parked at the agriturismo, waiting for you, on your chosen date, so you can just hop on and pedal away. If it's not, you can pick it up from the rental company. The usual rent times range from half a day to one or several days.

Fun tours by e-bike

The best way not to miss out on the most spectacular sights, is to book an organised e-bike tour. Some agriturismos run such tours themselves. Or you can book one via the bike rental company. There are several kinds of tours. Tours, for instance, that make the most of the lovely local landscape. Or those that lead you through authentic villages. You love good wines? Then a wine tour of the local vineyards will be a special treat! Lunch is included too, on a lot of these tours. Then there are more demanding tours, up into the mountains to seek out the most stunning views.

Beautiful agriturismos in diverse regions

If you have set your mind on Tuscany, you may like to stay in an agriturismo situated in the hills around Siena. This region has so many magnificent cycling routes, you can cover most of it simply on your e-bike. We have an agriturismo near Lago d’Orta (Lake Orta) . A well-known cycling route there is the ‘Anello azzurro di Girolago’. This signposted cycle route is 40 kilometres long, which is not that much on an e-bike, and it leads you through picturesque villages and past pristine beaches. Would you rather discover the mountains on your e-bike? Have a look at this agriturismo in the Dolomites. It has its own e-bikes that you can rent, and the owner will be more than happy to tell you about the most beautiful routes nearby.
